Role & Mission
We are looking for a motivated Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our Data &AI team and help us enhance our end-to-end ML pipelines for training, evaluation,and deployment of computer vision models.
This internship is ideal for someone passionate about ML pipelines, MLOps, andapplied computer vision in defense & security contexts. You will work on improvingour internal AI infrastructure and model lifecycle management, directly impactingthe reliability and speed of deploying models to production.
Enhance model training pipelines for computer vision tasks (object detection,segmentation, tracking).
Improve model evaluation frameworks with standardized metrics (mAP, IoU,precision/recall) and automated experiment tracking.
Develop reproducible pipelines for dataset versioning, augmentation, andpreprocessing at scale.
Contribute to deployment workflows for running optimized AI models on edgedevices and embedded systems.
Implement monitoring tools to ensure robustness and reliability of deployedmodels.
Collaborate with the Data & AI team to document best practices and build ascalable ML infrastructure for future missions.
Candidate profile
Strong foundations in Python, data science, and machine learning.
Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow).
Ability to analyze, visualize and preprocess large-scale images or videosdatasets.
Familiarity with experiment tracking tools (e.g., MLflow, Weights & Biases) and/ordata versioning systems (e.g., DVC).
Understanding of Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or similar).
Capacity to work autonomously in a research and prototyping environment.
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a mission-driven mindset.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with MLOps frameworks (Prefect, Airflow, etc.).
Knowledge of edge AI deployment (Nvidia Jetson, TensorRT, ONNX Runtime).
Experience with synthetic datasets or annotation pipelines.
Interest in defense, aerospace, or dual-use AI applications.
